Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 16: Akhil Bhartiya Vidharathi Parishad (ABVP) on first day of 'Black days' paid floral tribute to the student martyrs of 1966. According to press release, ABVP activists from different educational institutions of Jammu gathered at Shahidi sathal, GGM Science College and raised slogans like "Bharat Mata ki Jai", "Vandemataram', "Humare shaheed, amar rahien", "Student power, nation's power." Speaking on the occasion Pawan Sharma, State organizing Secretary stated that Brij Mohan, Subash Chander, Gulshan Handa and Gurcharan Singh four student martyrs had sacrificed while fighting against the discrimination of Kashmir centric leadership with Jammu. He further appealed the student and youth of J&K to work untidily for the welfare of all the student community. He also appealed to call these days as Martyrs days instead of Black days. Raghav Sharma, State Secretary on the occasion, stated that Jammu is facing discrimination since the time these martyrs sacrificed their life. ABVP is continuously working and fighting for the right of students. He further appealed the students to pledge for today to work hard and to fight for their rights. Kuldeep Singh, Ganesh, Bahadur Singh, Vikas Sharma, Aman Sharma, Sandeep Khajuria, Shubham Kalsi, Sugam Anand, Vishu rajput, Jang Bahadur Singh, Kanav, Avinash Sethi, Arun Sharma, Vikas Badhoria, Bhavishya Sudan, Arun Prabhat and others were present on the occasion. |
