HC stays ADC Doda's order of suspension of Bagla sarpanch
Case of alleged manipulation of voter list by Minister's brother in law

Kishtwar, Oct 16 : High Court judge Tashi Rabstan has ordered to stay the order of suspension of Javed Iqbal Malik from the post of sarpanch of Panchayat Bagla in block Ghat of Doda District.
The suspension was made by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Immam Din after he found him guilty of wrongly entering his name in the voter list wherein it was established during the course of the investigation that accused Javed Iqbal Malik is a permanent resident of Halqa Panchayat Bharath-A of block Gundna and manipulated the record with the alleged help of then BDO Ghat, BDO Gundna and other officials to get his name entered fraudulently in the voter list of halqa Panchayat of Bagla block Ghat at the time of filing his nomination Papers. He is brother in law of R&B minister Abdul Majeed Wani. He had won the panchayat election from Bagla Panchayat.
As per the details available with "Early times", Sarpanch Javed Iqbal Malik as per the article 226 of the constitution of India read with section 103 of Jammu and Kashmir constitution filled a petition before the high court seeking quashment of the ADC Doda's order of his immediate suspension.
In his petition, Javed Iqbal Malik has made Chief Secretary, District Panchayat Election Officer, Doda, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Returning Officer, Panchayat Halqa-III Bagla, Block Ghat Tehsil and District Doda and Mohd Hussain Shah, son of Yusaf Shah of =Panchayat Bagla, Block Ghat, Tehsil and District Doda, as respondents. After hearing all the parties, Justice Rabstan in an interim order stayed the order passed by the ADC Doda.
"Subject to the objections from the other side and till next date before the bench, status quo shall be maintained prior to passing of the impugned judgment. He directed to list the case in the week commencing from 10-11-2014.
