Azad lashes out at Pak army, calls it most 'undisciplined' force | | | Sanjay Pathak
KATHUA, Oct 16: While depicting Pakistan Army as the most 'undisciplined' and 'rogue' force in the world which flex its muscles on innocent people by deliberately targeting civilian areas, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad praised Indian troops for their courage and capability of repulsing enemy's evil designs in a befitting manner. Lauding India's brave forces for their competence in thwarting the attempts of aggression being committed by anti-India forces from across the border, Azad said that Indian Army is one of the most disciplined unit in the world which don't indulge in aiming civilian population. "Pakistan troops are notorious for their inhuman face as they didn't hesitate to use force innocent civilians while on the other hand the Indian Army's respect for humanity is known world over and they displayed that in Indo-Pak wars in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999," said Azad. Condemning Pakistan for resorting to unprovoked offensive along the International Border and LoC, the Congress leader Azad said that the unprovoked acts of aggression exhibit the evil designs of Pakistan and our security forces will resist all misadventures of Pakistan in a appropriate manner. Azad said this during his visit to the make-shift camps established for the border dwellers, at Kali Bari, Chann Kantrain, Londi Morh, Hiranagar, Kootah Morh, Samba and Chichi Mata. Assuring all assistance to Border migrants, who had to leave their houses due to firing by Pakistan troops, Azad said that he is vigorously taking up all issues affecting the people residing along International border. "The repeated and unprovoked ceasefire violations targeting our civilian areas have made life miserable for border inhabitants. I have requested the Prime Minister and Home Minister to look into the cross-border firing seriously since our peoples' lives are getting affected day in day out for which a permanent solution is need of the hour," he said. Appreciating State Government for its intention to allot five marlas of land to border residents at safer places, Azad said that the decision taken in this regard in the State cabinet meeting is welcome step to heal the wounds of people residing along borders. "We are committed to provide at least 5 marlas of land to border people so that they could construct their houses at places which are far from firing range and where they could lead a peaceful life. State government's decision is a positive move to provide a healing touch to the border people," said Azad. Apart from District Congress leaders include Former MLC and District Congress Committee, Kathua President Subash Gupta, Ex-MLA Hiranagar Girdhari Lal Chalotra, Ex-Minister Babu Singh, Naresh Sharma, Rajneesh Sharma alias Mian, Sohan Lal and Anil Chopra, the senior officers from civil and police administration also escorted senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad during his whirlwind tour of the border areas. |
