Jammu, Oct 16: Jammu State Morcha condoled the sad demise of renowned journalist Yash Basin who breathed his last yesterday in a meeting held today. Members of JSM observed two minutes silence to pray to the almighty for granting peace to the departed soul. Speaking on the occasion, president JSM Prof. Virender Gupta said Yash Bhasin was a renowned journalist and was the chief editor of Jammu Panorma Magazine. He participated very actively in 1953 Praja Parishad movement. He remained associated with State Times. He was a staunch supporter of Jammu Statehood Movement. He was a very good orator and man with firm convictions. Prominent among those present in the meeting were Prof. Virender Gupta, H.B. Khajuria, Amar Nath Gupta, Prof. Hari Om, N.D. Quazi, Subash Sharma, Nathu Ram Gupta, Dr. Saravdman, Shashank Chaudhary, Madan Abrol and Subash Baru. |
