Batote, Oct 16: MLA, Ramban, Ashok Kumar today distributed relief material donated by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) among the 40 victims of the land-slides during the devastating rains last month.
The 221 packets of relief material consisting of a tarpaulin, a blanket and raw eatable material meant for as many of those whose houses were fully damaged and were rendered shelter-less in Ramban constituency was sent by the AICC, New Delhi.
Ashok distributed a packet each of the relief material among the 40 heads of the worst affected families of the Ramban tehsil in a function at Tourist Bungalow.
He was accompanied by Congress District Vice President, VK Gupta, District Mahila Wing President, Narinder Kour, District Youth President, RA Malik, Block President, CL Goswami, Sarpanch, Dhalwas, Gulzar Ahmed, senior Congress leaders Janak Singh and Pritam Singh besides Naib-Tehsildar, Saifullah Shah. |
