Poonch lady found dead under mysterious circumstances in Rajouri 10/16/2014 11:00:34 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 16: A twenty five years old woman hailing from Poonch was found dead under suspicious circumstances near a rivulet behind District Hospital (DH) Rajouri in the morning today. Police sources said, "the deceased has been identified as Rakia Begam w/o Imitiaz Ahmed resident of Dhargloon in Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district." "The woman reportedly was suffering from Somnambulism (sleep walking) and epilepsy and was taken to Jammu by her husband and his brother for treatment, they added. "However late night hours on Wednesday the trio reached at Rajouri and hired a room in Moon Star hotel at Gujjarmandi Chowk locality, they added quoting family members, adding, "in the wee hours when Imitiaz and his brother got up to offer morning prayers they found the woman missing from her bed." Sources said, "After a search in the hotel and its adjoining areas they (family members) informed the police about her missing and about her treatment." Following formal complaint of missing from family members, the concerned Police launched a hectic search operation. "However it was 9.30am when one of the officer goers saw the unidentified lady lying unconscious in the rivulet, " police sources said, further adding, "later Police was informed and a police party from Rajouri Police Station was rushed to the spot which took the custody of unconscious woman and shifted it to hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. Thereafter Police called Imitiaz to identify the body and it was then the identity of the woman was established. Meanwhile the concerned police have started investigation under section 174CrPC after completing legal formalities. At the same time after completion of legal formalities besides recording statement of Imtiaz, the body was handed over to him for the last rites of deceased.
