Concede demands or face agitation: EJAC to govt

Jammu, Oct 16: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) members have appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to concede the long pending demands of employees, which were already accepted by government.
Addressing media persons, Balwinder Singh condemned the anti employees and workers policies of the state government, which after reaching a numbers of agreements failed to concede the just and genuine demands of the employees and workers. They threatened to launch an agitation if their demands would not be conceded soon.
Their demands included removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and other cadres, release of 10% D.A due from Jan. 2014 and 7% from July. 2014, regularization of all adhoc. contractual and Daily Rated workers, enhancement in Medical Allowance from Rs.300/- to Rs.2000, implementation of 6th pay commission in favour of remaining Public sector organizations by providing additional budgetary support to all PSUs.
