Jammu, Oct 27: A trooper of paramilitary police force -Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) shot self to death with his service weapon in the premises of Income Tax Department at Bahu Plaza here today.
As per reports, the deceased has been identified namely as SSB trooper namely B Banketesh r/o Andhra Pradesh. Sources said, "the deceased presently was posted with the office of the Income Tax Department and today he shot himself with his service weapon." "On hearing gunshot his colleagues rushed towards him and immediately shifted profusely bleeding injured to the GMC Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu where doctors declared him as brought dead."The reasons behind the extreme step taken by the deceased are yet to be ascertained, police sources said.
Meanwhile, the concerned Trikuta Nagar Police, have registered a case in this connection and further investigation is on in this matter. |
