JKSSRB's failure to declare teachers' list, results uncertain future of over 2000 shortlisted candidates

Kishtwar, Oct 27: Even after more than one and half year, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Recruitment Board (JKSSRB) has failed to declare the teachers selection list of Doda District for 402 posts resulting uncertainty for the future of over 2000 candidates who are waiting for the declaration of said list. As per the details available with " Early Times", JKSSRB notified two advertisement for 402 vacant posts of teachers in the District in 2013 vide notification number 05 of 2013 dtd 02/03/2013 for 218 posts including 125 for open merit and advertisement 06 of 2013 dtd 10/05/2013 for 184 vacant post including 104 in open merit and according conducted the various test and finally the interview was conducted in the 3rd week of June 2013, but even after the lapse of more than one year, the aspirants who had underwent the selection process are eagerly waiting for the declaration of the selection list.
But to their surprise, the nodal authority is sitting on the list reason better known to the officials at the helms of affairs, however their dilly dallying approach has resulted into an uncertainty for the future of over 2000 candidates who were short listed by the JKSSRB for the viva test.
While talking to "Early Times", large number of unemployed educated youth who had applied for these posts said that many among them are in state of chaos and confusion. Questioning unwarranted delay in declaration of the result on part of JKSSRB, they termed it unwarranted and having no valid reasons. The said that the delayed tactics played by the job recruiting agencies like JKSSRB has ruin the future of many job seekers in past as many of them turn over age while other have left their parental homes in search of job.
"Couple of years ago, class IV employees list for various government departments of Chenab region was declared after five years thus deprived many selected candidates from precious five years of the service which will ultimately cost them at the time of retirement" said one of aggrieved aspirant wishing anonymity, further adding, "the selection process should be time bound and must be completed on fast track basis. He suggested it should not exceed the time period of more than six months after the employment notification.
Another aspirant lamented that delaying selection process not only hampered the future education plan of many youths. "I am waiting for the selection list and sitting in Kishtwar and am in dilemma whether to apply for pursuing higher education or not" he said. They urged up on the Chief Electoral Officer Jammu and Kashmir to issue necessary directions to JKSSRB with regard to declaration of the Doda teachers selection list so that all those who had applied for these posts will not suffer any more.
