MENDHAR, Oct 27: People here have demanded the immediate completion of the mini-secretariate, Mendhar.
Though the actual construction cost of the mini-secretariate is estimated at Rs 14.04 cr, a part of it worth Rs 7 cr was put to tender a few months back. The contractor, who was allotted the tender, completed the work two months back.
The department was yet to put to tender the remaining work. When Sajjad Khan, AEE of PWD (R&B), sub-division, Mendhar, was contacted, he said he had already spoken to the deputy commissioner, Poonch, in this regard and he had given an assurance for putting the remaining work to tender.
"But the process has got delayed now due to the model code of conduct having come into force in the state," he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government had fixed March 31, 2015, as deadline for completion of the work. |
