'J&K remains part of India due to sacrifice of Brig Rajinder Singh’: Manjit

Vijaypur, Oct 27 : Celebrating Accession Day of J&K with India, former Minister and Senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today remembered Brig Rajinder Singh who gave his supreme sacrifice to save Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan's aggression.
A function was organized at his native village (now dedicated to martyr's name as Rajinderpura) where the people paid homage to Brig Rajinder Singh.
After giving floral tributes to the great soldier, the Congress leader Manjit Singh said with the sacrifice of Rajinder Singh led Indian Army Jammu and Kashmir remained the part of India and the Pakistan was defeated.
The former Minister said India should adopt a strict attitude and deal with iron hands with Pakistan in view of continuous unprovoked firing across the International Border and Line of Control (LoC).
While visiting Nanga, Manjit Singh said that the people have been forced to flee from their houses abandoning their houses and fields.
"The Government should keep the suffering of the border residents in mind and provide five marla plots to them in the safer areas," Manjit Singh demanded.
Regarding land under the fence, he said, the Government should give compensation to the people whose land has come under the fence.
