Kathua, Oct 27: Sarpanches on Monday staged protest demonstration in front of BDO office Kathua, to show their resentment against state government.
In the protest, resented Sarpanches alleged that the Block Development Office (BDO) has not released a single penny to the Panchayats as payments since the Panchayats were outstanding. They said some development works were gone through and even still going on, the concerned department never took the Panchayat and its Sarpanch into its confidence and avoided at large which was a matter serious concern and violation of the Panchayats norms.
While speaking to the media after having the protest demonstration against the highhandedness of the BDO office and district administration, Sarpanch of Panchayat Badala Yash Paul Raina, Kuldeep Kumar, alleged that more than three years have gone of Panchayats coming up but since then Sarpanches are given bogus and hollow promises in connection of empowerment of the Panchayat but indeed everything was contrary. |
