JAMMU, Oct 27: A day after Congress stalwart and former Deputy Chief Minister, Mangat Ram Sharma joined the party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today constituted panels for potential candidates for six seats of Kathua districts and three seats of Jammu districts. Names of Subash Sharma, elder son of Mangat Ram Sharma figured on number one in the list of potential candidates for Kathua assembly segment. Sources in the PDP said on the recommendation of district committee Kathua, party has constituted panels for five assembly segments for Kathua districts. For Kathua assembly segment, panel included Subash Sharma, son of Mangat Ram Sharma, Sardar Surinder Singh, Anil Andotra, and Rakesk Kumar Babli. For Hiranagar assembly segment, party panel included Suraj Prakash and Gopal Dass. Names of Jitender Singh Surpanch and Ravinder Sharma are included in the panel for Billawar assembly segment. For Basholi seat party has formed a panel comprised Rangeel Singh Surpanch and Joginder Singh. Party panel included names of Mohammad Saleem Lone and Khadim Hussain Wani for Bani assembly segment. Panels for three assembly segments namely Domana segment, Akhnoor and Khour were also constituted on the recommendation of district committee Kathua. Chaman Manyal, Lal Chand Bhagat and Badri Nath are candidates for Raipura Domana seat, Dev Raj Bhagat and Devender Sharma for Akhnoor seat and Madan Lal for Chhamb assembly segment. Sources in the PDP said that final decision on candidates would be taken by the Political Affairs Committee of the party which is meeting on October 31 to clear candidates for remaining seats. |
