Cong to announce candidates for J-K Assembly polls soon: Soz 10/27/2014 11:07:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27 : Ahead of the announcement of notification for the first phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the state unit of the Congress today said it will announce its candidates soon. Setting poll process in motion, notification for the first phase of Assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir will be issued tomorrow. The Congress which is in hectic parleys to finalise the candidates said the names will be announced within a couple of days. "The candidates would be announced within a couple of days. We are working on it", Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Prof Saif-uddin-Soz said here. The leader, however, refused to comment on whether the party will enter into an alliance. The Election Commission on Saturday decided to go ahead with holding Assembly polls in flood-devastated Jammu and Kashmir and announced a five-phased schedule between November 23 and December 20. Ruling coalition partners of Congress and National Conference (NOC) fought Lok Sabha elections this year in alliance and lost all the six seats. BJP bagged three seats of Jammu, Udhampur and Ladakh Parliamentary constituencies and PDP bagged Srinagar, Ananatnag and Baramulla LS seats in Kahsmir.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
