Jammu, Oct 31: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk today organized blood donation camp in association with Blood Transfusion Department, Govt Medical College and Red Cross Society here at college campus. According to press release, all faculty members and students of the college also participated. Principal of college Er. Arun Bangotra, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Vijay Saini, HOD Blood Transfusion department, GMC and R.C Puri, Secretary Red Cross Society, Jammu were guest of honour on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Er. Arun Bangotra, motivated the students to participate in the blood donation which is a noble cause and later donated the blood. Dr. Vijay Saini, HOD, GMC, threw light on Blood donation as contribution towards community development and brief the students about the importance of the blood donation. More than sixty enthusiastic participants including the students and the faculty later donated the blood. Every donor donated blood after passing through preliminary medical tests like HIV, H.B conducted by the team of experts from the GMC. The camp concluded with the donors being served with juice and fruits. The organizer of the events was Er. Khalid Sheikh, Er. Sakshi Kapai, Er. Ajay Thapa, Lecturers of the colleges. |
