Jammu, Dec 13: Jammu University Research Scholar Executive Association (JURSEA) today criticized Jammu University authorities for their failure to renovate Nehru Boys Hostel for years and also demanded separate hostel for girl scholars in varsity campus.
Addressing media persons, (JURSEA) President Sukhdev Singh said that after repeated pleas to Jammu University Works department for repairs and renovation of rooms in Nehru Boys Hostel but the department has failed to act and done the repairs.
Singh informed that repairs of lights, bathroom leakages and other renovation works are lying pending that are compounding problems to hostel boarders. He also demanded separate hostel facility for girl scholars within campus.
Speakers also have demanded stern action against the culprits, who had plundered the students' funds by using sub-standard electrical appliances and gadgets.
