Jammu, Dec 13: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning Gujarat into a model state.
Addressing an election rally at Hari Singh Park here organized in favour of the PDP candidate from Jammu East Bharat Choudhary, Mufti said, "Every constituency, every state needs a Modi or a leader at par with Modi's stature for seeing multifaceted development as he turned Gujarat into a model state during his four consecutive stints as the Chief Minister of the state."
"He was elected four times as Chief Minister of Gujarat because of his work and innovative ideas. The single window clearance system adopted in Gujarat which had earlier been adopted by PDP government was Modi's key achievement as Chief Minister", said Mufti.
The PDP patron Mufti said he has some Muslim friends in Gujarat who never complained against Modi as they were happy with the transparency in the state. "Humare saare kaam ghar baithe baithe hi ho jaate hain (We get all our works done while at home)" were the words of my friends," said Mufti.
However Mufti added that bringing in Modi into the state assembly for highlighting public issues is next to impossible and public here needs an MLA who is honest in his conduct like Bharat Choudhary who is known for his wide outlook for the Jammu city.
Mufti said that Kashmiris are ready for the change and he is expecting same enthusiasm from voters of Jammu who had already given him a chance as MLA from RS Pura assembly segment. "I appeal to the masses of Jammu to stand with PDP and I assure them that PDP will not let them down. There will be no issue of discrimination with the Kashmir or Ladakh region, there will be no corruption as our party MP Muzzafar Hussain Beig has made it crystal clear to the contesting candidates in the Valley that whosoever gets involved in corruption will suck blood of his mother and father", Mufti added.
"In the entire history of Jammu and Kashmir I never saw a politician who worked to join the hearts of people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. It is my dream to bring the people of all the three regions closer to each other," Mufti added.
Mufti called Atal Behari Vajpayee a better statesman and said that he worked in right pathway to maintain better relationship with the neighbouring country Pakistan though the parliament of the country was attacked, Kargil was attacked, army was angry because he was knowing the fact that one can change a friend but cannot change a neighbor.
"I appreciate the Indian Prime Minister for seeking help of SAARC nations as mutual cooperation is the only way which can help a country to be a developed nation" adding as for as the ruling regime in state is concerned, it failed to hold corporation election, municipality election, local bodies election in state and is till date busy in leveling cross allegations against each other rather than winning the public trust.
Mufti opined construction of a multi-storey parking in Jammu East for ending the problem of traffic congestion in old city and appealed public to vote for the PDP candidate Bharat Choudhary for making their dreams come true. |
