Jammu, Dec 13 : Asserting Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is concerned over J&K's prosperity and security of the state, Union Finance, Information & Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley said that it is not a mere geography or political arena for BJP but is the battle ground of its ideology and what it stands for the entire nation.
While addressing a joint meeting of Booth Level Karyakarta of Jammu East, Jammu West and Gandhi Nagar assembly constituencies on Saturday, the Union Finance, Information & Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley said, “The BJP government at the Centre is going to fulfill the agenda of development and prosperity and ensure that the nation is given due respect by all the nations which is its due, he added. Union Minister of Health Family Welfare J.P.Nadda and National General Secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal also spoke in this review meeting. Meanwhile adverting to the Kashmir based parties and Congress, Jaitely said that they are going to face the rout in the elections.
"Congress in not going to cross two digit figure and is vainly hoping to play second fiddle to any of the valley based parties to remain proximate to the power and ensure continuation of enrichment of its stalwarts and their cohorts, Jaitley said.
Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, Jaitley said that it is not a mere geography or political arena for BJP but is the battle ground of its ideology and what it stands for the entire nation. "Jana Sangh's first history chapter is connected and based on J&K and the prosperity and security of the state remains BJP ideological agenda, he added.
"This state needs rozgar, industry, tourism and infrastructure. The BJP has already asked the state government to convert its outdoor and indoor stadia at Srinagar and Jammu into world class stadia, it has already sanctioned an IIT for Jammu and one IIM is already on cards for the valley where it has also sanctioned setting up of Pashmina centre for its international marketing, he said while adding, "BJP's agenda is development, removal of regional imbalances, all round universal prosperity and irrespective of region, religion and caste." While addressing the booth level karyakartas, Arun Jaitely, said that for the first time all the three seats of Jammu city are going in favour of BJP and it will obviously add to achieve Mission 44+.
Referring to the recent Parliamentary election results, he said that this time the time tested methodology of vowing the votes on the basis of caste and class failed and the parties like BSP, Samajwadi party, RJD etc, which represented various caste based sections of society came a 'cropper'. He said, "Similar is was the fate of those parties which are dynasty based. "This time the hope of all inclusive development and progress of the nation under Narendra Modi swayed the voters. BJP has not only swept the election in its traditional support regions but has also significantly improved its votes percentage in such diverse regions like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and the assembly elections in these states are going to create new history, he said and added, "BJP government at the Centre is going to fulfill the agenda of development and prosperity and ensure that the nation is given due respect by all the nations which is its due."
Union Minister of Health Family Welfare, J P Nadda said, "BJP is active and marching forward in all the three regions of the state and has become a political force which has put other political parties in a state of disarray and panic."
"This time BJP is fighting elections with a clear goal to govern the state and make it free from under development, unemployment, poverty and scarcity of day to day requirements viz electricity, portable water etc, he added. Nadda exhorted the booth committee members to see that every constituency falls in the kitty of BJP and to achieve this they must consider their booth a war post.
National General Secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal in his address, said that the BJP wave in Ladakh and Kashmir valley has electrified the political climate in these regions and now is the turn of Jammu region to ensure complete defeat of NC, PDP and Congress by BJP's Armageddon. Referring to Narendra Modi's rally at Jammu, he asked all the workers to make it a grand success and all roads on that day must lead to the stadium, the venue of the address and the function should be a defining event for the elections of this region.
BJP leaders Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Ajay Jamwal, Ashok Koul, Sunil Sethi, Rashim Dhar Sood, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma CA and Rajesh Gupta also shared the dais.
