Mufti visits residence of Abdul Gani Hafiz

Srinagar, Dec 13 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron, Mufti Moha-mmad Sayeed Saturday visited the residence of veteran trade union leader and journalist, Abdul Gani Hafiz, who passed away on Thursday, 11 Dec, to offer his condolences with the bereaved family.
The deceased was the father-in-law of the eminent journalist and Editor of the daily Rising Kashmir, Shuj'aat Bukhari.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti termed the late Hafiz Sahib a multifaceted personality who courageously fought for the rights of government employees and downtrodden sections of the society all through his life. The PDP patron said late Hafiz Sahib was not only a social worker of great repute but a prolific writer whose writings would continue to inspire the generations to come in.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Mufti prayed for the everlasting peace of the deceased soul.
