| PDP is only alternative: Hamid Choudhary | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Having spoilt state’s economy, retarded development and jeopardized career of thousands of unemployed educated youth, National Conference (NC) is not trying to gain foothold. This was alleged by People’s Democratic Party leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary who urged people to read the writing on wall that PDP is the only viable alternative that can reverse this process and help steer out of crisis.
Addressing series of meetings in Nagrota Assembly constituency in connection with canvassing for Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa, the PDP leader said for those who have seen worst days, time has come to uproot corrupt and inefficient coalition only to pave way for credible and transparent government to take over. This, he said could become possible when PDP is voted to power and its programme and policies implemented in the state.
Choudhary Hamid urged people especially youth to not to get misled by false and fabricated promises of coalition partners and vote for PDP. Six years were enough for coalition to make our state prosperous and deliver justice but corrupt and inefficient people sitting at the helm of affairs looted state exchequer, framed wrong policies, encouraged corruption and retarded development of Jammu and Kashmir.
It was because of wrong policies of coalition government and its casual approach towards people’s issues that state has been doomed. No government at the Centre is ready to trust us which is why we are not only in financial mess but also lagging behind in every sector as compared to other states. It’s practically not possible to return these lost six years but PDP is committed to bring the economy back on rails, decentralize powers, strengthen anti-graft institutions, generate employment avenues, ensure basic amenities to all, set right the derailed education system, improve health facilities and save agriculture land from being commercialized.
Expressing his faith in leadership of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party Chief Mehbooba Mufti, Choudhary Hamid said these have a clear vision of developing each and every region of the state equitably and give people a clean and transparent administration.
This, he said could become possible only when people will show their faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and elect his representatives. |
