VHP criticizes failure of police to take action against 'land grabber' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Leela Karan Sharma has expressed concern and criticized the police for their failure to take action against a land grabber, who had grabbed land of one in Reasi. Speaking before the media State VHP President Leela Karan Sharma expressed his deep concern about Sudesh Mehta (female) who have obtained land from Bashir Ahmed Khan in village Kundrorian, Tehsil Reasi and had constructed a double storey pacca house for staying of Yatris visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and spent more than Rs 70 Lakh on the said building. She is all alone as her son is working in foreign country & remitting her amount for meeting both ends. She has also constructed a temple at village Mehadi enroute to Katra. Some Bashir Ahmed & his sons who have criminal background wanted to grab the said house. They have started construction over the said passage illegally, when there was a positive direction by the Hon’ble High Court that nobody is allowed to raise any illegal construction without the permission of Katra Development Authority, he said. "The said Bashir Ahmed who sells meat & chicken in spite of the ban for sale of meat & liquor in Katra town, he is doing all these illegal actions under the nose of the concerned police & Katra Development Authority", he said. The said Sudesh Mehta had leased out the entire building to Bhartiya Jan Seva Sansthan– A wing of VHP for social service of people, which has become a bone of contention in the eyes of Bashir Ahmed & his sons. The report was lodged in the police station Katra but the police have not taken any serious action. Today, I have received a call from the lady that they have assaulted her, abused her, close the water supply & even locked the gate making the said lady helpless. |
