Fourth phase to decide fate of Omar, Mufti | | | Sandeep Bhat
Early Times Report
Anantnag, Dec 13: As the fourth phase of Assembly election is going to be held tomorrow, this will decide the fate of two Chief Ministerial candidates Omar Abdullah and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. The incumbent Chief Minister who has left Ganderbal seat has contested from Beerwah and is also seeking mandate from Sonawar. The former Chief Minister is again contesting from Anantnag constituency. Tomorrow, both Omar and Mufti will have to face litmus test and as per sources, both leaders are confident of winning their respective constituencies. Talking to early times, Hilal Shah, Congress candidate from Anantnag said that Congress party under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad has seen the real development in the state and this party gave priority to each region. He further said that people have seen the three years of Azad sahib and the Anantnag constituency has always remained a favorite of Congress before 1989. He said that people want change in the state as well as in his constituency. On the other hand, as per credible sources, Mufti Mohd Sayeed is safe and he will retain his seat despite tough competition from opponents. As far as Sonwar constituency is concerned, Congress has fielded Khem Lata Wakhloo, BJP fielded Darakshan Andrabi, PDP fielded Ashraf Mir against National Conference candidate and Chief Minister Omar abdullah who is also contesting on Beerwah seat .If sources are to be believed, Sonwar will not be easy for Omar where PDP candidate is giving him tough time and that is the reason why Omar has chosen Beerwah, thus playing safe. Both Mufti and Omar are seem to be confident of winning, but the real picture will be clear on December 25. |
