Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 13: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday got a shot in arm after senior Congress party leader joined Party, after dedicatedly serving Congress for nearly five decades.
Former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader, Narinder Singh Jamwal on Saturday joined PDP in presence of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, in a rally organized by PDP East candidate, Bharat Choudhary at Hari Singh Park.
Explaining reasons of leaving the party, Narinder Singh Jamwal said that he had been feeling suffocated in the party and with party leadership, which has only been listening to the corrupt and rich leaders, while the suggestions of honest party cadre had always been ignored.
"Nepotism is ruling roost in party as either close ones of affluent party leaders were given mandate in assembly elections. No new face is introduced and party high command has failed to take any action against corrupt ministers in Jammu and Kashmir", he said, adding that the honest workers of party were always ignored and even some affluent persons, who even didn't have party membership, were given primary positions in Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC).
Anticipating a humiliating defeat to Congress in ensuing assembly elections, he asserted that party high command and state leadership was least bothered to put its house in order, instead have been continue with same practice of listening voices of corrupt ones and has repeated the mistakes done in Parliamentary polls.
He further said, "Touts, corrupt workers and leaders and their suggestions are entertained while honest are always ignored. Only during elections party leaders recalled workers and forget them after elections. Such practices in party have been compelling honest workers to leave party".
