KPS organizes Teachers Workshop on 'Life Skill'

KATHUA, Dec 13: A one day teacher's workshop on the topic " Life Skill" was organized today by KPS Barnoti . Er. Narinder Singh Bali , KAS, Additional development commissioner Kathua , was the chief guest while Miss Shatyakshi Shriya, renowned psychologist associated with CBSE empannered agency PCTI from Delhi was the resource person . Er. Nirmaljit Singh Amn Chairman KPS, Manjula Dogra Principal , Harpreet Kour were also present in predium.
While speaking about the life skills, Miss. Shatyakshi Shriya laid the stress upon the creativity, self awareness and importance of various skills to be used for overall development of the child . Emphassing the role of a teacher in over all character building of the students she further said that the teachers should have the ability the penetrate the talent of creativity, improvisation, self realization and confidence, even amongst the average and below average child in the class. While speaking about the workshop, she also complemented, the Principal, Staff and Students for organizing this workshop which helps the teacher community to recharge themselves and energies for the development of body, mind and spirit in the child.
ER. Narinder Singh Bali, while, delivering his address, appreciated the efforts of KPS and said that the importance of teachers have their Significance for a healthy, progressive and strong nation in future . while speaking about the importance of education , he said that the inculcation of motivation , decision making creativity amongst the students can be possible only through the medium of various life skills used by the teacher , while interacting in the classroom . He further said that, abolished, healthy, and progressive society can be dreamt only through the polished and creative thoughts transformed in the child through knowledge gained by the text books for the syllabus to be taught in the classes. He thanked and congratulated principal, teaching staff and management for organizing such a meaningful and purposeful teachers workshop. He also applauded the participation of teachers from various schools and institution of the adjoining area of Kathua and Jammu District. In the said teacher workshop the various school of district Kathua and Jammu participated include: Army Public School, Janglot Kathua, JK Public School, Barwal, Kathua, Sai International School, Hiranagar and Jammu Sanskriti Jammu.
