Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 13: Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) Jammu staged Nukkad play Milavati Doodh to target the alarming problem of adulteration of milk in the market at Satwari today.
According to press release, the play was scripted and coordinated by Ram Paul and Naveen Pal.
The story set in with a milk-seller (Nattu) who is running a dairy farm and selling his milk product in the city daily in the morning.
But on the whole his earned income out of this business does not fulfill his domestic needs. One day his children asked him to arrange extra money for school function which he could not arrange. He felt guilty for not fulfilling their demand. He was under tension that how to increase his income bracket.
He spoke to another milk seller friend (Ramu) and also discussed with his wife for enhancement of income. Ramu told that he is using injections to his cattle to draw extra milk and also adding extra water to increase the volume of milk which were endorsed by his wife (Bharkha) too.
He followed the suggestion and in this way he started earning extra money. After some days there were complaints from consumers that milk is emanating bad smell and slowly everybody denied taking milk in the market.
Meanwhile, his cow falls ill, due to over dose of vaccination and ultimately dies, causing a big loss to him. He then realized not to follow others mis-suggestions which hampers the business.
Thus, the message is clear and loud that we should not add polluted water and draw milk using syringes which is endangerous for human beings.
The main artists who took part were Rampal, Naveen Pal, Santosh Basotra, Barkha Thakur, Sunil Sharma and Suraj Narayan.
The act was highly appreciated by the participants on the occasion with clapping.
