| `NC using money in Srinagar to lure voters’ | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec13; As the elections to the 8 seats of Srinagar city are schedule to be held tomorrow, alleged reports of inducing voters by money and ration are pouring in from different parts of the capital city.
The opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) Saturday alleged that NC candidates and their aides are using money and ration to woo the people to vote in their favour in Srinagar.
Senior PDP leader and the party candidate for Khanyar, Khursheed Aalam today alleged that NCcandidate is distributing money among the people for votes.
Aalam has sought the intervention of Election Commission of India.
He alleged that NC had assigned the job of distributing money and ration to a senior NC leader’s son who along with a band of nearly 20 people had already distributed tons of rice among the people.
It merits a mention here that several senior NC leaders are faced with similar allegations. Finance Minister A R Rather was alleged to have installed dozens of transformers in Chrar-e-Sharief constituency during the campaigning. |
