Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 22: As all exit polls have predicted emergence of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as single largest party, all eyes are on former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to usher a new era of peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Formation of PDP led government is looking imminent because all surveys and exit polls have predicted that PDP is emerging as single largest party in the State. None of the survey has predicted that PDP would be below 30 marks so it is almost confirm that this party would emerge as single largest party, may achieve the target of 44 plus which is mark of absolute majority.
In 2002 PDP had got 16 seats but party had successfully formed government. This time party is going to make the history.
After results of exit polls political parties are looking towards action of the PDP leadership, which is confident of getting majority on its own.
Spokesman of PDP Nayeem Akhtar told some media persons that their party is going to form government on its own. He was confident of PDP getting absolute majority on its own.
PDP leadership has reasons to stake such claims because in the Parliamentary Elections PDP had got lead in more than four seats and pro-PDP wave in the State has further strengthened during the last six months so party is hopeful to make history.
This time PDP is confident of opening account in Jammu district and in erstwhile Doda district also.
Party patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has himself worked hard in Jammu district. Similarly PDP is hopeful of improving of its previous toll of two in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. This time PDP is hoping to get maximum seats of Poonch and Rajouri.
