6/24/2015 11:50:45 PM

Jammu, June 24: Massive demonstrations were held today by employees in the offices of LIC of India across the whole State of Jammu and Kashmir to demand early settlement of wage revision of employees and one more pension for employees.
It was a joint programme held by all classes of employees as per joint call of unions at All India Level.
The programme at Jammu was held outside DO Cell Jammu and led by Pawan Gupta, divisional secretary, NZIEA Srinagar Division, Narinder Sharma, divisional secretary, Ravi Ji Pandita, joint secretary of LIC Class-1 Federation and Ramesh Kumar of NOINO and Rakesh Mangotra, divisional secretary NFIFWI of Class-2.
The speakers said that the wage revision of LIC employees has been due since August 1, 2012 and it has been nearly three years now that the management has not been responding in a positive manner. The leaders said that the offer of 12.5% from management nowhere meets the aspirations of the employees and is not acceptable.
They said that the per employee productivity in respect of Premium Income and in respect of number of policies has increased to a big extent in the recent years and it has been possible only due to hard work of all classes of employees. "Besides, this year the dividend paid by LIC of India to the Government on a Capital of 100 crores, was more than Rs 1600 crores and the LIC is providing best ever services to its policy holders, so the employees deserve a very good wage revision", they added. Those who spoke on the occasion were Ramesh Chand and Dinesh Sharma.
