6/24/2015 11:59:52 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 24: In a bid to cover up its failures and befool the Jammu people, the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party is going to launch a vigorous propaganda campaign highlighting its self proclaimed achievements during the first hundred days in Government.
The party is planning media campaign through series of press conferences, posters, hoardings, social media and other means to counter the anti-BJP sentiments and highlight the achievements of BJP ministers in the coalition Government at Jammu and Kashmir. The proposed campaign is likely to begin within days with a formal press conference by none other than Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, who is presently on a tour to Mumbai and Delhi.
The direction in this regard was issued by the BJP national general secretary and incharge J&K, Ram Madhav during his recent meeting with the party ministers at Jammu.
According to the sources, the BJP ministers told Ram Madhav that because of coalition compulsions, they were unable to fulfill the aspirations of Jammu people, who gave unprecedented mandate to the party in the last Assembly elections. To substantiate their claim, the BJP ministers listed the issues like settlement of refugees, delimitation commission, AIIMS etc. They also complained that the coalition partner PDP was not cooperating in adjustment of officers of their choice.
However, sources added, Ram Madhav suggested the BJP ministers to focus on the agenda of development rather than contentious issues and said that the achievements with regard to developmental works should be widely publicized to neutralize resentment among people. Following this suggestion cum direction, sources said that all the BJP ministers are preparing the list of achievements of the department under their control and within days a vigorous campaign will be launched. However, this campaign will not be at the Government level but BJP, sources informed.
