Eleven Stars wins by 74 runs in Summer Cup

AKHNOOR, June 24: Eleven Stars today registered a big 74 runs win against Littler Flower School Akhnoor to advance into the next round of Summer Cup Twenty20 Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Eleven Stars set a target of 215 runs for six wickets. In reply, Littler Flower bowled out for 140 runs in 19.5 overs.
Vinod (53 off 24 balls), Ricky (42 off 23 balls), Sahil (38 off 17 balls) and Makhan (26 off 15 balls) were main contributors to the total. From Little Flower, Sushil took two wickets, followed by Sunil, Shanky and Dheeraj, who shared apiece each.
Later, Little Flower lost wickets in regular intervals to make an end to their innings at 140 in 19.5 overs. Shanky (28 off 15 balls), Sushil Pawa (23 off 15 balls), Gappa (24 off 16 balls), Sunil (20 off 12 balls) and Deepak Mangotra (19 off 14 balls) were the batsmen, who scored in double figure.
Vinod emerged as most successful bowler from Eleven Stars with three wickets. Ravi took two while Makhan, Danny and Ricky shared one each. For his all round performance, Vinod was declared man of the match.
Today's match officiated by Vikas Bali and Sonu Malhotra as umpires while Manik Sharma was scorer.
