PTU demands uninterrupted power supply

Jammu, Sept 28: Infuriated by the unscheduled cuts at Tehsil Ukhral in Banihal, Sewa Singh state General Secretary Panthers Trade Union (PTU) expressed his resentment over the miserable condition of the local residents of the area. He said that the women, ailing and the old, and the students are the worst sufferers of the frequent power cuts. Later Sewa Singh Bali along with other leaders led the deputation of the local residents and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Engineer PDD Jammu, Ashwani Gupta here today apprising him of the power crises at Tehsil Ukhral and sought the restoration of regular power supply at the earliest. The concerned officer assured that he would personally intervene into the matter to ensure the regular power supply in the affected area.
