| PK rejects Mirwaiz's claim, says K Hindus not to return to radicalized Valley | | Communal harmony, Kashmir-style | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 28: Panun Kashmir leader Ajay Chrungoo on Sunday rejected outright APHC-M's self-styled chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's claim that Kashmir has always stood for communal amity and peaceful co-existence of various communities and that the Muslim community consistently protected the rights of minorities. "Kashmir has remained a symbol of communal bonhomie. The majority community (in this case Muslims) has protected the rights of minorities and would continue to do so," this fanatic and Pakistani agent said last Friday while asking the Kashmiri Muslims to defy ban on bovine killing and eating of beef, saying it was their religious right to do so.
Reacting to the claim, the PK leader said "Mirwaiz and other separatists have radicalized the entire Kashmir Valley and they perpetrated barbarities on an unprecedented scale on the Kashmiri Hindu minority to the extent that it had to quit their homes and hearths and become refugees in their own motherland", and also charged the custodians of the Indian State with abandoning not only the exiled community but also other non-Muslim minorities. "It was their policy of appeasement and abdication that left the minority community to vacate the Valley to save its religion, culture, honour, dignity and life," he further said, and asserted that his community members would return to the Valley only after the Indian State neutralized those who were responsible for their exodus, bifurcated Kashmir to set up a separate homeland invested with Union Territory status so that the Indian Constitution flowed freely and recognized the community as the Indian representative in Kashmir.
"We are the Indian representatives in Kashmir. India is the only stakeholder in Jammu and Kashmir. We do not recognize Pakistan and Hurriyat leadership any factor in the State. They represent only medieval forces in the Valley. The Indian state has to act against them so that the Valley is purged of all such elements who have in collaboration with certain elements in the establishments in the state and at the centre Islamized Kashmir," the PK leader further said, and accused the Indian leadership of creating an environment in the Valley that has helped secessionists and communalists to subvert the rule of law and do what they did last Friday to hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus. He hinted at slaughter of cows that day at several public places under the very nose of the law and order authorities.
Earlier on September 20, Ajay Chrungoo had also accused the PDP-BJP combine of drafting, adopting and implementing an agenda of alliance, saying it constituted an attack on the sovereignty of India and license for further proselytisation in the state. He had said: the PDP-BJP "Agenda of alliance is an attack on the sovereignty of India, secular integrity of the regions and license for further proselytisation in the state. It is an expression that Musharraf plan has not died but is continuing. Hindus of Kashmir have been the frontal target of the Agenda of Alliance because the agenda seeks a reconciliation with communalism and separatism. Through Agenda of Alliance a formal commitment has been given to the communal forces operating in Kashmir valley that Kashmiri Hindu concerns will not be allowed to come in between a settlement with Pakistan, separatist forces in the state and the Government of India. The agenda seeks reintegration and absorption of Hindus of Kashmir in the social milieu of Kashmir. The Kashmiri Hindus will now be reintegrated with the same forces that pushed them out and subjected them to genocide. BJP-RSS in pursuit of their perverted strategic vision have chosen to close their eyes to the fact that existing Kashmiri social milieu is a communal Jihadi milieu. Agreeing to send them back for reintegration and absorption into this milieu simply means agreeing to their conversion. Is BJP offering Hindus of Kashmir as bait to be in power in the state?"
No one could contest what the PK leader said on Sunday and on September 20. For, what he said was the true story of facts. The Government of India needs to behave like Governments of self-respecting governments conduct themselves. It has already caused enough of damage to the country and its patriotic population. It must undo the past wrongs by strengthening the nationalist forces in the state and this would be possible if it reverses its 68-year old policy. |
