Srinagar, Sept 28: After uploading videos on social networking sites and circulating threat posters, militants in Kashmir are scribbling Graffiti on road side walls to lure youth into Militancy.
Hours after internet services were resumed in Kashmir division; Unidentified youth scribbled pro-militant graffiti to praise wanted militant of Hizbul Mujhideen outfit Burhan Wani here at Nowhatta area of Srinagar.
In the Graffiti one masked boy was spotted standing against a wall along the road painted with a slogan "Burhan Our Hizb Hero." Pro-Militant and Pro-Pakistan Graffiti's were spotted at several places during past three days across Kashmir. One such Graffiti "we want ISIS" surface in downtown area of Srinagar on 26 of September. Many Pro-Militant Graffiti's were also Spotted in Nowgam Bypass, Pantha-chowk and Pulwama areas two days back, however acting immediately, Security agencies later painted the places bearing Pro-Militant and Pro-Pakistan graffitis.
After asking youth to join militant ranks through videos and circulating posters, experts believe that militants are now using other means like writing pro-militant and pro-Pakistan slogans on walls to lure youth towards militancy.
From Sopore in north Kashmir to Anantnag in south, there are several places where unidentified youth more often paint walls during night with Pro-Militant and pro-Pakistan grafftis.
New generation of militant factions in Kashmir particularly Hizbul Mujahideen outfit which according to sources managed to recruit scores of youth in south Kashmir in past few months is openly inviting people in general to support their "cause" and youth in particular to join them.
Almost every time after Friday prayers, masked youth appear in down town area of Srinagar with Banners and flags bearing pro-militant nd pro-Pakistan slogans.
Some unidentified youth recently hoisted a flag bearing resemblance to that of ISIS flags, while there have been several incidents of waving of Pakistani flags at meetings of Separatist leaders in past few months.
Though Police has already warned stern action against anybody found involved in anti national activities, however according to sources no concrete steps were taken so far to curb activities of such people.
Parents of youth in the age group of 20 to 25 years are worried due to open invitation from militant factions to join them through uploading videos on social networking site, Face book and circulating posters. Authorities have already announced bounty on head of wanted militant.
Burhaan Wani, who is first among new generation of militants from Hizbul Mujahideen to upload videos on social networking sites and circulate videos asking youth to join militant ranks.
