JYF condemns discontinuation of PG courses in JU 9/28/2015 11:06:23 PM arly Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today has condemned the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University (JU) for ordering discontinuation of PG Courses in Political Science and Economics during mid-session in Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) leaving hundreds of students in dilemma while as those responsible for closure have been completely spared.Forum president Mohd Akram Ahmed said that the candidates who intend to continue their studies in the said programmes may appear as private candidates. However, the University authorities have not mentioned in the order that why UGC issued such an order as the problem propped up because of the inability of Programme Coordinators, Mohd Akram Ahmed added. "Scores of students who had been pursuing the said courses were shocked to hear the announcement as they had already completed two semesters but the administrative failure at an the end of JU officials put the students in a fix", they said, asking JU Vice Chancellor Prof R D Sharma to explain his position on the issue.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
