anatnag, Nov 19: Refuting allegations leveled by Kullar residents, Executive Engineer of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana- (PMGSY) on Thursday said that they have rushed a team to village for carrying out quality tests.
"Forest department's truck has damaged the road at one spot. It is a minor damage, rest of the road is in good condition. SDM Pahalgam and other senior officials inspected the road and expressed satisfaction," Executive
Engineer, Sheikh Javed Maqbool told Early Times.
He said that they have rushed a team to village for carrying out the quality test despite having done it earlier "We haven't received the report of the quality test yet. Still today again we rushed a team for carrying out another test," he added.
Sheikh Javed said that keeping in mind the rules of PMGSY, no contractor will afford to use low quality of material. "For next five years, contractor according PMGSY rules has to look after the road. So how he will use the low quality material or commit any negligence," Javed said. |
