Rs 2000 fine imposed on shopkeepers, rotten items destroyed

Banihal, May 19: A joint team of Tehsil administration, Municipal Committee, CAPD and Police today conduct a market checking in Banihal town in district Ramban.
The team imposed fined rupees of two thousand on different shopkeepers and destroy expire items of fruit, vegetables, milk and other essential commodities.
The team was led by Naib Tehsildar Banihal Ab Salam and executive officer municipal committee Zubaida Begum. They also cleared the footpaths in the highway town and warned the shopkeepers to keep their material inside their shops otherwise action can be taken under law against the violators.
It is pertinent to mention that the maximum of the footpaths were captured by the road vendors and shopkeepers who keep their material on the footpaths which creates problems to the locals.
