ramban, May 19: Ten tourists from Madhya Pradesh were injured after a vehicle plunged into deep gorge on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway at Nashri area of Ramban district early morning today, police said. A Tavera Vehicle on way to Srinagar from Jammu met with an accident near Nashri in Ramban and fell into 200 feet deep gorge at Nashri Nallah near lucky Dhaba Chanderkote. Ten passengers were boarding the vehicle, bearing registration number JK14-1871, a police official said. The injured persons have been identified as Suraj Bhaye wife of Dhani Ram, Dhani Ram son of Dharmu, Sonu son of Kasturi Lal, Kamli wife of Modi Ram, Geeli wife of Bitu, Soni Devi wife of Geeli Ram, Jeelan daughter of Geeli Ram all resident of Pali Chatarpur Madhya Pradesh, Shiv Kumar son of Omparkash, Ravinder Kumar son of Gharu Ram & Kasturi son of Dharmu all resident of Kangra Madhya Pradesh. All the injured persons were shifted to SKEH Hospital Batote by police, QRT, Army and locals. The driver of vehicle managed to flee from the spot. A case has been registered in Police station Chanderkote in this regard. |
