NMC seeks release of DA installment

Jammu, May 21: Retreating is demand for early release of pending 6 percent installment of dearness allowance (DA) due from January last, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged the State Finance Minister to announce the same DA installment in favor of the employees of state government and pensioners while presenting current financial year budget in the state assembly on 30th May 2016,so that employees and pensioners get sigh of relief.
Addressing workers, NMC president said that in view of sharp increase of the prices of essential commodities and inflation, as another installment of DA @8% has also become due to both Central and State government employees and pensioners from July1,2016 which ultimately pile up of the arrears burdening further State exchequer of the state government, as a matter of goodwill Gesture, hence an early release of DA installment is need of the hour.
NMC leader further emphasized the need for immediate amendment to the SRO 64 and appealed to him to formulate a comprehensive policy for regularization of all daily rated workers (DRWs), casual/seasonal laborers, contractual and adhoc employees engaged in various departments of the state government after March 31, 1994. Among other who were present on the occasion includes Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Surrinder Kumar, Mohd, Shafi, DarshanBawa, Suraj Parkash, Sukhdev Singh and others.
