srinagar, May 21: Yet again, Kashmiris in general and youth in particular rejected separatists' strike politics by thronging to famed tourist destinations including Pahalgam.
Reports said that famed tourist destinations in Kashmir, Pahalgam in particular witnessed heavy rush while as roads from South to North too witnessed routine frequent chaos and jams.
They said that there was no effect of separatist strike call 'Eidgah chalo' in Kashmir excluding downtown and areas surrounding Jamia Masjid as authorities have put some barricades restricting the movement of people.
Traffic played normally in and outskirts of Srinagar while as business houses also remained open throughout the day.
Famous MugHal garden 'Nishat' too witnessed heavy rush as city residents preferred outing.
Many youth of Srinagar city and other districts as well thronged famed tourist spots to enjoy the day.
On Friday evening youth started moving towards Pahalgam- a famous tourist destination in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
"The trend is encouraging, Kashmiri youth need to take on fringe elements by rejecting their strike politics," an analyst observed.
