Early Times Report Jammu, May 21: Throwing Health Minister's direction into bin, the health department has failed to find out the cause and fixing responsibility over non functional CT Scan Machine installed at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah. It is pertinent to mention here that during his visit at SDH Bhaderwah , Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat had directed department to conduct a probe over non- functional CT scan single slice machine which was procured by state government in the year 2012 at an estimate cost of Rs. 1 crore. The machine was installed in the year 2013 but surprising till date the machine didn't conduct a single test, causesing patients to visit Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu to get their tests done. Ramesh, a local resident said that, misleading the people that machine was non functional due to technical snag the department spent three years. "Then administration adopted new technique escaping public anger, told the visitor the matter has been brought into the notice of higher administration", he said, adding that but the machine remained gathering dust. However, in the mean time people also contacted health minister but unfortunately the things remain unchanged. During his visits the minister had directed the authority to make it functional but it seems nobody bothers what minister said. Being accidental prone area the state government had sanctioned the machine for the hospital which after three years of inauguration yet to be made functional. Repeated calls by this Jurno to Block Medical Officer, Bhaderwah, DrYudhveer Singh didn't respond the phone calls. When contacted Chief Medical Officer, Doda, Dr Kulbushan Singh about inquiry order by minister, said that everybody is aware the machine is non functional. "We have not received any order by higher authority to conduct probe", he said. |
