'Whenever BJP comes into power, targets majority community'

Hiranagar, May 21: Lambasting on state Government for its failure to restore reservation in promotions, Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) & All Socio-religious organisations alleged that whenever BJP comes into power or in any state it targets the majority community of this country by either raising debate on Constitutional Review or by targeting Reservation, that is one of the weapons of educational and economic progress of SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories.
A mammoth rally in favour of political solution to restoration of reservation in promotions was taken out jointly by Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) and All Socio-religious organizations where in thousands of people from various parts of the State participated. They sorted immediate political solution to the problem and warned that in the vent of failure the situation may turn out of control that shall damage the democratic structure of this country.
Speaking on the occasion, Ex-MLA Dhayan Chand, Retd Deputy Director S.R. Magotra, Senior Vice President, All India Bhagat Mahasabha and Vice-President, JKRCEA-Retired Employees Unit CR Munde lambasted the government said that by not contesting in favour of their own law which is in consonance with Article 370, 35-A of Indian Constitution & Article 6 of J&K Constitution, the present government has shown its total immaturity in legally dealing with the issues of public importance.
General Secretary of JKRCEA Dr. Zabeer Ahmed urged the government to immediately redress the fundamental & constitutional rights of the 60% reserved category population residing in the state. He also reminded the government that immature and slack attitude of the government can pay them heavily in the coming corporation, Panchyat & other local bodies election.
Addressing mommoth rally, President of JKRCEA Dr. Sanjay Bhasin congratulated them on the occasion of birthday of Tathagat Gautam Buddha, for making JKRCEA movement a force to reckon with and for organising such a huge gathering in Hiranagar. He said that Reservation will continue till caste continues in India. He said that SC and ST's are entitled for 8% & 10% reservation indirect recruitment but quantifiable data from Socioeconomic and educational census of India reveals that only 1.84% reservation indirect recruitment has been extended to the SC's in J&K till date and 2.02% to ST's.
He also appealed the government to amend Article 23 of JK constitution by adding provision of Reservation in education, jobs & promotions for reserved categories in it. He warned the people who want to create wedge between Hindus and Muslims. He further told that if the Assembly fails to take up this matter in the first week of its session starting from 25th May 2016, than JKRCEA will fully support all Socio-religious Organisations and others to hold mammoth gathering in different places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh.
The maha rally supported by All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha, Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha's of Kathua, Bagial, Hiranagr, Samba, and surrounding areas, Kabir Sabha's, Bhagat Mahasabha, Backward Classes Union, Prajapati Sabha, Retired employees forums, BRAEF, BRAES, social activists from all the Reserved Categories, many Panches and Sarpanches. Dr. Sanjay Bhasin, President JKRCEA, the Chief Guest on the occasion led the rally alongwith, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, general secretary JKRCEA, Ex-MLA Dhyan Chand, SR Magotra, Prof. Yash Paul and others.
