Jammu, May 21: Bagh-e-Bahu police today arrested a man for allegedly preparing fake documents of revenue department, RTO, Jammu, PHE department and PWD.
The accusd has been identified as Shabir Ahmed Shah of Peer Mitha. The arrest was made on the basis of a complaint lodged by Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
As per police sources, JDA had lodged complaint with police, alleging therein that Shabir Shah had staked claim over a piece of five kanals of land situated behind Jammu University's second gate and to prove his claim, he had showed the revenue documents of the said piece of land, besides a power of attorney which he claimed to have got from Ashwani Gupta and Anil Mahajan.
During investigation, police found the revenue documents of Shabir as fake. This was further authenticated by the demarcation of the land which in fact belonged to JDA, sources said.
