IRP-10th Battalion organises ‘route march’

Jammu, May 21: In order to instil confidence and to inculcate a fitness regime in the lifestyle of the officers and Jawans, the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) 10th Battalion (Headquarter Battalion) organised an impressive 'Route March' today with 250 officers and officials including GO's, NGO's and others taking part in a pollution free area of Bahu Fort Jammu, led by Mohan Lal, SSP Commandant IRP-10th Bn.
The 'march' started from battalion Headquarters at DPL Jammu and taking a route from Gulshan ground to Raika Environmental Park to Harki Pauri and culminated back at Battalion Headquarters, covering a distance of approximately eight kilometres.
While addressing the officers and Jawans of the battalion, Mohan Lal Commandant IRP-10th Bn. stressed upon the Jawans to remain physically and mentally fit by regular exercises because "a healthy mind lies in healthy body".
He emphasised that health is a treasure in anybody's life and only a healthy cop can encounter any unforeseen challenge while performing his legitimate duties.
Route march is a regular feature under the directions of ADGP Armed L. Mohanty, IPS and IGP IRP Jammu Zone Yoginder Koul, IPS to keep the troops in good health and high degree of alertness.
Among others SP's Sandeep Mehta, Ravi Kant Sharma and Mazhar Hussain also participated in the route march.
