JAMMU, May 24: A J&K cadre IPS officer, who is on central deputation for the past some time, is alleged to be having three flats worth Rs 7 cr in New Delhi. One of the flats is in posh Vasant Vihar area of the union capital. Its cost was estimated at over Rs 5 cr. The cost of other two flats was Rs 1 cr each, police sources said. Of the three flats, one was in his own name and the other two were in the names of his wife and father. Apart from these flats, he owned a shop in a posh Delhi area and benami property, which he had purchased in the name of his in-laws, sources alleged. Sources said he was getting lakhs of rupees as rent of the shop. He has held many important postings in the state. He had managed central deputation for him, following a government proposal to post him against a less important post, the sources added. He was also alleged to be establishing his business in the union capital. |
