Jammu, Feb 9: The Rajya Sabha on Friday cleared three important bills related to Jammu and Kashmir including a bill related to granting Scheduled Tribe status to Pahari Ethnic Group.
Earlier Rajya Sabha earlier took up for consideration and passage three bills on Jammu and Kashmir that seek to provide reservation to Other Backward Classes in local bodies and modify the lists of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the Union territory.
After discussion, the Rajya Sabha passed all three Bills that were earlier passed by the Lok Sabha with a thumping majority.

Srinagar, Feb 9: Security forces have unearthed two terrorist hideouts in Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, officials said on Friday. The COVID-19 virus got mutated 223 times in the world and its harmful effects have come done substantially over time, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in Lok Sabha on Friday. He also said that COVID-19 will continue to remain like influenza and its present variants are not deadly.

Parliament on Friday passed a bill that aims to curb malpractices and irregularities in competitive examinations, and entails provisions for a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine up to Rs 1 crore for offences.
