He also demanded handing over entire 27 km Moghla-Khawas road to the GREF for its time bound completion. Meanwhile, Sharma expressed concern over the abandoning of work on several important bridges and roads in Kalakote constituency which were taken-up during 1996-2002. Giving details, he said, 38 bridges were taken-up for construction during that period, out of which only 23 have been completed, "while work on the construction of 15 bridges was abandoned halfway due to which crores of public money has gone waste." The Congress leader said that none of the roads were blacktopped and commissioned, as a result the entire earthwork got washed away due to rains causing a huge loss to public exchequer. He demanded a high level enquiry to pin point the responsibility and bringing guilty to book. |
