| NRHM training for MCTS, HMIS concludes | | | early times report Srinagar, Dec 14: A five day training programme for strengthening Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS) in the state concluded at Government Women's Polytechnic College Bemina here today. The workshop, which was organised by National Rural Health Mission J&K in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, was aimed at strengthening the reporting framework for the Health Management Information System (HMIS) and MCTS. The workshop was facilitated by the resource persons from Centre wherein, theoretical and practical interactive sessions were carried out. The consultants who imparted the training programme included Rama Mani Patnaik, Dr Prayas Joshi, Kamil Farooq, Lovely Chaudhary and Miss Parul Arora. During the programme, experts stressed about the importance and quality of data being uploaded from sub centres, primary heath centres, community health centres and district hospitals. The participants were entrusted with the responsibility for monitoring and effective implementation of MCTS so as to strengthen the delivery of reporting framework from grass root level to generate quality data which shall be utilised for effective planning and thereby delivery of quality services at the door steps of the needy people. The five days' workshop was attended by Chief Medical Officers, Block Medical officers, District Programme Managers, District Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Block Monitoring and Evaluation Officers and Data Entry Operators from Kashmir division. The valedictory function was presided over by Dr Yashpal Sharma, Mission Director, NRHM, J&K. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the training programme shall not only make reporting of data more effective but shall also facilitate tracking of pregnant women and children for providing essential services. |
