early times report JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu and Kashmir today made it to the finals of both boys and girls in the National School Games under-19 Tennis Ball Cricket, hosted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at different venues, here. In the semifinals, played today, J&K boys defeated Jharkhand by 37 runs. Earlier, batting first, J&K set a target of 74 runs in given 10 overs, which, in reply, Jharkhand could not chase and bowled out for just 37 runs in eight overs. Now, J&K shall take on Madhya Pradesh in the final tomorrow. The MP made it to the final after they were awarded the match, played against Goa, considering first four overs average. Batting first, Goa made 57 runs and in reply, MP too scored equal runs to make it a tie. However, on the basis of better first four overs average, MP was declared winner. Similarly, in girls section, J&K shall be playing against Gujarat in the final. In the semifinals, played today, Gujarat defeated Chattisgarh by nine runs while J&K outplayed Goa by nine wickets.
