JAMMU, Dec 14: Vicky Club registered a fine five wickets win over Khojpur Cricket Club to move into the next round of the ongoing General Baj Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Badrodi in district Samba.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Khojpur Club bowled out for 151 runs in 17 overs. Suresh remained top scorer with 29-ball 58 runs while Akhtar contributed 10 runs. From Vicky Club, Farooq and Babloo clinched three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Vicky Club chased the total making 152 runs for the loss of five wickets in 17.5 overs. Farooq played match winning innings of 68 runs coming off 38 deliveries while Gagan added 27 runs to the total. From Khojur, Sanjay and Suresh took two and one wicket respectively.
For his all-round performance, Farooq was obvious choice for the man of the match trophy. Today's match was officiated by Zorawar Singh and Rajan Singh Bogal as umpires while Rohit Jamwal was scorer. |
