| Bail denied to two Narco Smugglers | | | early times report Jammu, Dec 14 (JNF): Principal Sessions Judge Kathua MK Hanjura today rejected the bail applications of Rashpal Singh and Jatinder Singh who were arrested by the police in NDPS case. According to the police report that on November 19, 2012, the petitioners namely Rashpal Singh and Jatinder Singh were on a scooter. On reaching near the petrol pump Kali Bari, they were signaled to stop by the police party; they tried to give them a slip. They pursued them and both of them were apprehended. On the search of the scooter they were found to be in the possession of 1800 capsules of "Parvan Spas". Police registered a case u/s 8/21/22/25/27/27-A/29 of NDPS Act. While rejecting the bail application of both the accused, Principal Sessions Judge MK Hanjura after hearing Advocates Vikas Sharma and A Slathia for the for the petitioner whereas Public Prosecutor Ravi Kumar Gupta appearing for the accused, observed that the accused were in possession of 1800 capsules which falls within the scales of commercial quantity and this attracts the bar created by the section of 37 NDPS Act, therefore the applications of both the petitioners are dismissed.
